ASSAFI partners with CEMADEF – a registered NPO in Bunia, Ituri Province, – in accordance with local laws.CEMADEF objectives are:
- to promote the autonomy of women and their families through proper training and microcredits
- to empower women to manage income-generating activities
- to promote equality between women and men
CEMADEF operates out of seven centres in the Ituri province:
Each centre is self-governed by a professional team. Director Fanny Ukety and Deputy Director Georgette Nyawali coordinate and supervise all centres.
